Dangerous and Poisonous Waste
- Do not accept cargo if:
- Waste from unspecific sources such as maintenance, washing, packing of tools.
- Waste from specific sources, from industrial process or certain activity.
- Waste from expired chemical substances, packing-scrap and off-grade or by-products.
- Regulation for import recycled commodities (wastepaper, scrap metal, used plastics). The Indonesia authority has put a more stringent process on import shipment of wastes, such as waste paper, scrap plastics, scrap metal and other articles of waste following the finding of toxic and environmentally hazardous substance stuffed along with the mentioned commodities. Following such finding, the customs of Indonesia are now doing physical check on every shipments of such commodity and will force the consignee to ship back the shipment to origin country if such toxic and environmentally hazardous substance is found during the inspection.
Ministry of Trade has enacted new regulation number 83/2020 as revision of regulation number 58/2020 about provision of import non-toxic recycled commodities for industrial material.
In this latest regulation revision, the effective date has been postponed from 1st Oct 2020 to 1st Jan 2021. The regulation will be as below,
- Exporters of the non-toxic recycled commodities to register with Indonesian Embassies and Consulates at origin country to be allowed to supply the country with the material.
- The registered Exporters/shippers company name must be registered in the consignee import license. Consignee to submit the import license adjustment to reflect the same including type of the goods, sum of the goods, HS codes, country of origin and or destination port.
This basically gives extra buffer time for consignee/shipper on the registration process.
The existing regulation on the cargo inspection will remains which basically cover:
Meanwhile, with existing import license and cargo are inspected/surveyed properly, customer can start importing again the recycled commodities into Indonesia.
- Shipper has got their cargo inspected by approved surveyor before stuffing and the certificate of survey (Laporan Survey/LS) has been issued by PT Surveyor Indonesia or PT SUCOFINDO or their agent in the origin countries (Indonesia's Ministry of Trade regulation no 39/M-DAG/PER/9/2009 article 18).

Our free time offer is Combined Demurrage & Detention.
This means you will have one combined free time period and compensation for utilization of equipment inside and outside of terminals or depots, referred to as Combined Demurrage & Detention, from vessel discharge to gate in empty.
Please be informed that effective January 1st, 2018 (based on container discharged from vessel at final destination) we will change the calculation method for our import detention and demurrage for customers with special extended free time from traditional to progressive tier structure. After the extended free time expires, any additional days will be subject to the demurrage and detention charges as per the relevant day count in our tariff tier structure. This means that the subsequent demurrage and detention charges beyond extended free time will not automatically be calculated basing on the tariffs of 1st tier as before.
Example:
Special extended freetime: 14 days
Date of import discharge: 1 November
Freetime ends: 14 November
Empty container returned: 15 November
Detention and demurrage day: 1
Previous calculation: USD 30 (20 dry) & USD 40 (40 dry)
Current calculation: USD 50 (20 dry) & USD 70 (40 dry)
