Payment Supports - When can I approach to process my Ecas?
- Once the ship has arrived and unloaded, you can go to carry out the Approval and Ecas process, presenting the respective documentation in our Counter.
- In the event that the ship arrives on a weekend, you can process it in advance on Friday within the established business hours.
- What requirements do I need to process electronic Ecas?
- You may request electronic ECAS as long as you meet the following requirements:
- BL has release at destination.
Annual commitment letter entered and confirmed or per shipment commitment letter with digital signature.
Payments are confirmed by both the line and agency.
Ship has arrived and unloaded. - I am a web customer, can I process ECAS online?
- Yes, but there still is a physical handling of the BL needed to be done on our agency.
- Do you accept documentation with electronic signature?
- Yes, you can sign the commitment and withdrawal letters with a digital signature, these can be from the Central Bank, Security Data, Ecuadorian Customs, Civil Registry.
- What is the process to update ECAS?
- The Ecas update process applies as long as there is a previously processed Ecas. The process can be done by email to ec.import@maersk.com
- In the event that the ship arrives on a weekend, you can process it in advance on Friday within the established business hours. (ONLY APPLIES FOR REEFER and IMO CARGO).
- Who can I request invoices for issuance at destination?
- You can request your invoices at ec.import@maersk.com
- Conditions to return units in patios of Quito
- You can deliver your units to the UIO warehouse as long as the unit meets the following conditions, it will not be necessary to update ECAS:
- Have space for stock.
CAS updated for reception.
The unit must have operational status (no smell, rust, cuts, etc.)
The space information is provided directly by the Quito warehouse and the address is Av. Simón Bolívar 201, Santa Rosa, Fert Container Depot S.A. - Note: If the container is not received in Quito, they must deliver the unit to the Guayaquil patios within the period indicated in their initial ECAS.
