Weight / Measurement acceptance
Maximum payload per container should be verified in each equipment prior stuffing.
Special cargoes
OOG, B/B and IMO cargo, subject to standard Maersk approval procedures.

Cut-off times
Cut offs to enter full containers into port are subject to change depending of the time the vessel arrives to port.
Cargo entered after cut offs will not be consider for Exception loadings. shipper will have to pay the terminal Contecon or Naportec, rolling, connection, storage, handling, etc.) in order for the cargo to be consider in the next available vessel
Containers are subject to random antinarcotics inspections
Requirements
Bill of lading clause/documentation
The shipper must be Ecuadorian and the info on BL must be complete, including the TAX ID, called RUC. Weight on Bill of Lading must be stated in KILOS and not pounds
DAE (Documento Aduanero de Exportacion) is mandatory in cargo description
Documentation requirements
No acceptance of condition LCL.
Multiple shippers and/or consignees for one container is not acceptable.
Special Customs requirement
All cargo EX Ecuador must meet all local customs requirements before loading
Other
Electronic information is submitted to Local Customs systems, 12 hours prior vessel departure. Any change to Bill of lading after this time should be notified to Export Customer Service, otherwise a custom fine will be charged in order to update the information in the Customs System.
