Q: What is an EORI Number and how do I get one?
A: An EORI (Economic Operators Registration & Identification System) Number is a unique reference number issued by Customs to Trader and is required to import or export goods.

Q: What is a classification number HS Code?
A: A classification number is a unique 10-digit code that relates to a specific product and determines the amount of Duty payable. The Trade Tariff link can provide help and useful tips to enable the customer to classify their products.

Q: Why do I need to provide a classification number HS Code?
A: It is the importers/Exporters legal responsibility to ensure the classification of their products are correct.

Q: How will I know when my shipment has cleared customs?
A: You will get either an automatic or self generated e-mail announcement.

Abbreviations & Explanations

CHB = Customs House Brokerage
VAT = Value Added Tax
EORI = Economic Operators’ Registration and Identification
HTS = Harmonized Tariff Schedule
AEO = Authorized Economic Operator
POA = Power of Attorney
T1 = Transit Document which allows the movement of non-EU commodity between two customs offices (EU)
T2L = Document which proofs the EU status

Demurrage and Detention valid till 14th August 2019

Applicable from 1/1/2017

Our setup in Croatia consists of two elements; Demurrage and Detention. This means you have separate free time and compensation for utilisation of equipment inside (Demurrage) and outside (Detention) of terminals or depots.

Demurrage starts to apply as from SAME DAY of DISCHARGE until GATE OUT FULL

Detentions start to apply same day of GATE OUT FULL to GATE IN EMPTY.

Calculation is based on CALENDAR days.

Storage and Combined Demurrage and Detention from 15th August 2019

Port Storage

Storage commences and includes the day that the full container is discharged at the port and ends on the day that the container is gated-out for delivery from the terminal.

  • Shipper Owned Containers (SOC) are subject to storage
  • Non-operating Reefers (NOR will be charged as DRY equipment
  • Storage for Reefers include plug-in fee at terminal
  • National holidays count unless they fall within the allowed free time period.
  • Storage are invoiced: per container, per calendar day, per container size type

Combined Demurrage and Detention

Combined Demurrage & Detention (all Ports and Terminals)

Combined equipment demurrage and detention commences on and includes the day that the full container is discharged at the ports (or gated-in at rail Rail-Ramps) and ends on the day that the empty container is gated-in at the terminal.

  • Shipper Owned Containers (SOC) are not subject to Combined Demurrage and Detention
  • Non-operating Reefers (NOR) will be charged as DRY equipment
  • National holidays count unless they fall within the allowed free time period
  • Combined Demurrage and Detention will be invoiced as Detention
  • Combined Demurrage and Detention are invoiced: per container, per calendar day, per container size type

Procedures

CUT-OFF CY BELGRADE (RAIL)

FIXED DEPARTURE DATE from Brajdica terminal, Rijeka: SATURDAY afternoon
FIXED ARRIVAL DATE to Makis terminal, Belgrade: SUNDAY afternoon

Following documents must be submitted to customer service desk by Wednesday 14:00 in order to load on the rail the same week:

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list

Restrictions

No acceptance of LCL shipment.

No restrictions for any type of equipment to Croatia.

IMO

Not acceptable dangerous cargo: IMO class1 (arms/explosives) and IMO class 7 (radioactives) is NOT accepted.

Other IMO cargo is subject to standard Maersk approval procedures

Acceptance depends of cargo weight/construction and cargo route (all port acceptance). For details about feasibility please contact our sales desk

Handling charges (OHC,DHC):

  • IN GAUGE cargo - 20'FR/40'FR and 45'HC: + 50 % on top of standard tariff
  • OOG cargo - charge depends of OOG measure (hight/widith)

Special equipment - we offer several options for oversized or very heavy cargo.
