Prohibited dangerous goods UN numbers

We want our customers to be confident that we strive to keep lives, environment, cargoes, and assets out of risk, no matter where they are.

More often our Center Dangerous Goods Policy Team receives inquiries from our customers regarding the specific United Nations (UN) number for permitted or prohibited dangerous goods to transport by Maersk.

An UN number is a four-digit number that identifies hazardous materials, and articles (such as explosives, flammable liquids, oxidizers, toxic liquids, etc.) in the framework of international transport.
