Effective April 10th, 2025, Maersk will be implementing a $50 service fee for any requests to place a Bill of Lading or Waybill on manual hold for later release.

In the standard process, at the time of loading, all bill types will be issued to the Transport Document Receiver as indicated in the received shipping instructions automatically. Should you need to transfer ownership or modify the bill type, we kindly request that you submit these changes through the available electronic channels or on Maersk.com.

We will continue to process requests for manual bill of lading holds, submitted at time of booking, shipping instructions, or by contacting your Maersk Customer Experience Representative, please note that the $50 service fee will apply to these transactions.
