Due to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East region following the escalating military conflict, we have decided – in close coordination with our security partners – to pause future Trans-Suez sailings through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait for the time being.

This means that the Maersk Atlanta, MECL voyage 604 Eastbound, has needed to divert to the Cape of Good Hope route. This diversion was necessary to ensure the safety of our crews, vessels and customers’ cargo.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and take all needed actions.

What this means for your supply chain
We are doing our utmost to minimise delays to your cargo on this vessel. Despite this, we are currently expecting some delays and will inform you once we have more information regarding this.
