New Zealand Easter Holiday Season - Operating Hours 2024

During the upcoming Easter holiday period there will be some changes to the normal operating hours which will affect port, depot, and rail operations.

• Port Operations - amended hours for receival & deliveries
• Container Depot Operations – amended hours for receival & deliveries

Please note that the terminal hours advised are based on latest information available and may be subject to change. Please refer to notices published by the respective port for any further updates regarding revised receival and delivery periods.

KiwiRail (Block of Line)

A 5-day Block of Line (BOL) is scheduled for the Easter weekend. Due to the expected arrival of several vessels at Tauranga during the Easter period, MetroPort receivals will open early to assist in offsetting the earlier cut offs and to ensure containers are railed to Tauranga before the BOL commences. Please refer to notices published by MetroPort regarding any updates to receival dates and cut-offs.

MetroPort services:

• Last MetroPort train before BOL will arrive in Tauranga Friday 29th March 01:00hrs.
• First MetroPort train following BOL will arrive Tuesday 2nd April 01:00hrs.

CEDO’S

Please ensure CEDO’S are accurately submitted in advance prior to the Easter holiday period, considering any changes to operating hours for the respective terminals.

2024 Easter Public Holidays and Freetime

Maersk will offer extended import and export demurrage & detention freetime during Public Holidays. This concession only applies where Public Holidays fall within a customer’s agreed freetime period and in such cases, the freetime will be extended to include these days.
