The situation reported in May (increased pressure on capacity) continues to persist and thus we need to extend the Inland Peak Season surcharge until the 31st of July, 2021.
As previously communicated on our advisory of May, we still face pressure on port terminals and depots and subsequent waiting time on the inland side across all transport modes.
Therefore we will implement this surcharge for all Carrier Haulage and Multi-carrier bookings as follows
- For all barge, rail and all combined intermodal transports bookings to/from the Noth West Continent main ports: EUR 10 per container
- For all truck bookings to/from the North West Continent main ports: EUR 25 per container
This is to cover the cost being imposed on us from supplier and to ensure that we can provide sufficient capacity in face of reduced turnaround times and impacted landside productivity or respective transport modes.
We will continuously monitor the situation to support best possible flows and will keep you updated.
We appreciate your understanding and support to overcome this extraordinary situation together.
