Change in Bill of Lading/Delivery order release for Embargo shipments - Qatar

In our constant endeavour to ease the business for our customers, we are making a change in current process for document release of OFAC shipments. We would be releasing Bill of Lading/Delivery order only once the payment is credited in Embargo bank account.

This process will be effective from 01st September 2020.

Import into Qatar (Ex-OFAC location)

Kindly arrange payments 5 days prior arrival of shipment, in order to facilitate seamless release of your delivery order.

Export from Qatar (Into OFAC location)

Kindly arrange payments on shipment departure, in order to facilitate seamless release of your BL documents. If dues are not credited within 7 days of invoice, then late Payment fee will be applicable and details on same available here.

Few Important points to note

• It takes approximately 3-5 days for payment to be credited in our Embargo bank. For Embargo bank account details kindly refer to the invoice copies of shipment or click here
• Once you make payment for your shipments, please write to us on glbofacteam@maersk.com. The Receipts will be generated only after payment credited into account.
• When making online payments, please ensure to mandatorily update shipment details.
• For any online transfer if the intermediary bank is linked to United states of America, there will be issues in payment being credited into our bank account and will result in subsequent withholding the document release.
