In relation to the ”Adoption Of Amendments To The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code (Amendment 36-12)”, we would like to give prominence to clause.

Responsibility of shipper to properly class and describe a hazardous material.

Hereby starting, 1 July 2020, in addition to providing documents for all DG export shipments, it will be shipper’s responsibility to supply the DG Cargo Markings and Stickers.

To ensure the safety of your cargo, effective said date accross all Philippine Ports, Maersk A/S will no longer produce Dangerous Cargo Markings and Stickers.

  • To check on customer compliance, DG markings and stickers will be verified upon container gate in and prior vessel loading.
  • Noncompliance for instance, incorrect and/or missing markings and stickers will result to offloading of cargo.
  • Offloading charges incurred such as storage, shut out and DnD will all be under the account of customer.
