AE2 Blank Sailing Extension Announcement Europe – Far East Asia Eastbound

In connection with the upcoming Golden Week period, Maersk has endeavoured to balance our network to match reduced demand. The blanked sailings will impact our Eastbound coverage.

We aim to minimize the impact to our customers supply chain and provide predictability by making a structural change and securing alternative routings.

AE2

We have previously announced temporary suspension of the AE2 service from week 45 until mid-December, which we have now made the decision to extend the temporary suspension to early January in week 2. To en-sure our customers will not face any business disruption, all port calls on the AE2 service will be covered on other services in our network.

Alternative coverage for AE2 suspension

• Felixstowe: Covered on AE6
• Antwerp: Covered on AE6
• Rotterdam: Covered on AE10
• Algeciras Covered through inducement on AE5. First vessel will be MSC Aurora 952E

In connection with the Algeciras inducement, the AE5 service will omit Port Tangier. This port call will be cov-ered by the AE6, inducing Port Tangiers starting week 44.

AE7

In addition to suspending our AE2 service, we will blank one sailing of AE7 service in week 46 Eastbound, as per below details:
