Dry containers reuse policy

As of 1^st April 2019 all requests for equipment re-use on Merchant Haulage will be managed through Avantida digital platform.
Your truck carrier will need to register with Avantida. Once registered in the platform, truckers will have access to Avantida 's automated request process, returning accurate responses within minutes and delivering time and overall cost savings.
A charge of 80€ will be applicable for approved equipment re-use requests and is payable directly to Avantida platform.

After 1^st April 2019, Maersk will apply a penalty of 200€ for any Merchant Haulage equipment re-use performed outside of Avantida.

Tariff applicable as of 1st March 2020 till 8th of November
For approved equipment re-use requests a charge of 90€ will be applicable, payable directly to Avantida platform.
For any Merchant Haulage equipment re-use performed outside of Avantida, Maersk will apply a penalty of 200€.

New tariff applicable as of 9th November 2020
For approved equipment re-use requests a charge of 100€ will be applicable, payable directly to Avantida platform.
For any Merchant Haulage equipment re-use performed outside of Avantida, Maersk will apply a penalty of 200€.

New tariff applicable as of 1st September 2021
For approved equipment re-use requests a charge of 150€ will be applicable, payable directly to Avantida platform.

New Export Pick-Up surcharge tariff - Italy (15/07/2022)

In order to continue to maintain the quality of the services we provide, Maersk is revising the Export PICK-UP surcharge tariff, effective as of 15^th July 2022.

The revised tariff amount is detailed as follows:

Exceptions

Import containers drop off policy

All Customers can require delivery at an Italian inland depot or at a different port area than discharge ports at the following conditions:

• Maersk reverts with written authorization.
• Container number to be dropped off is timely communicated to customer service import at it.import@MAERSK.COM
• Import customer accepts by written confirmation the following Drop Off fee for delivering ex import containers discharged in any Italian port.

New Drop-off tariff applicable as of July 15th 2022:

Notes:

• Specific container numbers drop off (off hire units) may not be authorized in alternative areas.
• Container drop off might be restricted in case of surplus at requested destination depots.
• Maersk will send container acceptance instructions to depots as soon as authorised.
• No container drop off in Rubiera and Piacenza from any port for 40DRY /40 HDRY

Unplugged Reefer

Starting from 1st October 2019 till 30th April 2020 will be possible to ask for a quotation and perform Import Inland Haulage for both 20 and 40 Reefer Unplugged.

In order to do that, you can simply search for requested tariff respectively for 20Dry and 40 HC here, then contact your Customer Service Agent in order to check feasibility and arrange cargo delivery.

Weight / Measurement

Gross weight limitation is defined as follows:

• container + truck + chassis + cargo: max kgs 44,000
• 20ft: max net weight 21.6 tons (i.e. cargo weight)
• 20ft omologated 30 tons: max net weight 27.5 tons (i.e. cargo weight)
• 40ft or 40hc: max net weight 26.48 tons (i.e. cargo weight)
• 45ft: max net weight 25.6 tons (i.e. cargo weight)
• Max height over the road: 4.3 metres

Special Cargo

• OOG, B/B and IMO cargo subject to standard Maersk approval procedures
