Our training programmes are designed to help you unleash your potential and become a skilled, fully qualified cadet. You may also be an experienced seafarer looking for new opportunities. If you're interested in a life at sea, join us and begin your adventure.

Maersk Cadet Training Programme

The Maersk Cadet Training Programme helps you become a qualified and competent officer while giving you a wide experience and knowledge base to develop a successful maritime career.

On joining, we'll assign you a designated officer who will support your training. You'll also receive guidance from senior officers, all while gaining vast exposure to our modern and diverse fleet.

We offer training programmes for Deck Cadets, Engine Cadets and Electrical Cadets.

Deck Cadets learn to perform the day-to-day operations of a Deck Officer, including navigation, safety checks, vessel maintenance and deck work.

As an Engine Cadet, you'll assist the Engineering Officers in maintaining the vessel main engines and all mechanical equipment, including taking daily logs.

Electrical Cadets handle our reefer containers and receive training on the operation, maintenance and repair of a vessel’s electrical systems.

Aside from training at sea, you'll also study at a maritime academy, giving you access to great learning opportunities and a holistic maritime education.
