Maersk Line is committed to always providing you with the best-in-class services, which is why our endeavour is to always keep you updated on any change that occurs with respect to our services.

As per SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), every packed export container needs to have a Verified Gross Mass (VGM) as a condition of loading aboard a vessel. Maersk fully supports this requirement and follow it effectively as it promotes safety across the industry.

In light of this requirement, VGM needs be available in Maersk system to plan the loading of each container on the nominated vessel, hence all our customers are requested to update VGM in Maersk Website for their shipment using our online tool at (Maersk.com) before applying Cartin order.

Effective 16th June 2025, Cartin order will only be released once the VGM is updated on Maersk website for each container under the respective shipment or booking number.

Should you have any questions or require any clarification regarding this process, please do not hesitate to contact your local Maersk representative.

As always, we thank you for your continuous support to Maersk.
