Due to the ongoing volatility in the Middle East and its impact on global oil production and refining, the logistics sector continues to face rapid and significant increases in fuel prices. To ensure uninterrupted service across our nationwide trucking network, Maersk Logistics and Services Philippines Inc. will be implementing an Import Fuel Surcharge (IFS) and Export Fuel Surcharge (EFS) for inland transport services.
This adjustment is an independent commercial decision made solely by Maersk, based on our own operating conditions and cost movements. It is a contractual and operational cost-recovery measure, and not a Force Majeure declaration.
The surcharge is a temporary measure, intended to maintain capacity, safeguard service reliability, and respond to the sudden and sustained rise in fuel-related operating expense.
Effective 16 March 2026 and until further notice we are implementing Export Fuel Surcharge (EFS) & Import Fuel Surcharge (IFS).
Coverage
For Full Container Load (FCL) and Full Truck Load (FTL) trucking: +16.5% of the trucking rate The IFS and EFS shall apply to inland haulage nationwide.
Given the volatility of the current energy market, further adjustments may be required as conditions evolve.
Fuel Adjustment Computation
Overall trucking rate shall be adjusted at every Wednesday of each week to reflect the rise and fall, or fluctuation equivalent to ±10% of retail fuel prices of the preceding week.
Old Fuel Baseline: Php. 55/L
Current Fuel Baseline: Php. 85/L as of Week 11
Fuel Component: 30% of the trucking rate
