Due to the recent weather impact at Napier, MAERSK RIO INDIA 424S/427N will omit Napier port to ensure the vessel arrives at Lyttelton on time and to avoid a slide on the Southern Star service.
The contingency plan for affected cargo is as follows:
- Napier export cargo previously on MAERSK RIO INDIA 427N will be updated to load either MAERSK MONTE LASCAR 428N or J-Star vessel NYK FUTAGO 094N, depending on the discharge port.
- Napier import cargo previously on MAERSK RIO INDIA 424S from the hubs and Sydney will now discharge in Lyttelton to connect J-Star vessel COSCO FELIXSTOWE 188N for Napier discharge.
- Your local Maersk representative will be in touch to advise on options for Tauranga to Napier coastal cargo.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your ongoing trust and support in Maersk as your supply chain partner.
