We wish to advise that due to the on-going industrial action at DP World terminals combined with the recent weather impact on Sydney operations, the Sydney departure of MAERSK RIO INDIA 348S/351N has been affected, thus resulting in a scheduled delay into New Zealand.
To mitigate any further impact to forward scheduling and to avoid a slide on the Southern Star service, MAERSK RIO INDIA 348S/351N will now omit Napier.
The contingency plan for affected cargo is as follows:
- Napier export cargo previously on MAERSK RIO INDIA 351N will be updated to load either RIO BLANCO 352N or J-Star vessel GSL SYROS 401N, depending on the discharge port.
- Napier import cargo previously on MAERSK RIO INDIA 348S/351N from the hubs and Sydney will now discharge in Lyttelton to connect J-Star vessel NYK FUSHIMI 122N for Napier discharge.
- Tauranga to Napier coastal cargo will still load MAERSK RIO INDIA 351N but will now discharge in Lyttelton to connect J-Star vessel NYK FUSHIMI 122N for Napier discharge.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your ongoing trust and support in Maersk as your supply chain partner.
