Expiration of Low Water Surcharge (LWC) for Imports to Manaus

After critical period, water levels in Manaus are returning to normality and we are decommissioning LWC for the imports to Manaus effective from PCD 20/12/2023.

For the export shipments from Manaus, LWC is still effective until further notice, as we are still working to clean the backlog.

Import shipments from World to Manaus - LWC will not be applicable as from PCD 20/12
Export shipments from Manaus to World - LWC effective until further notice.

*PCD = Price Calculation Date.

• PCD refers to ETD of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation (for non-FMC and non-spot bookings).
• For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.
• For Spot bookings, is the Booking Confirmation date.

Relief Package

Considering the partial resumption of operations and that situation is being publicized since September/23, relief package measures are no longer be available.
We remain at your disposal to individually check any request you may have.

For export bookings: 
Transfers and delays initiated by carrier will continue to be reduced from EXPORT DETENTION calculation, as usual.
Spot booking penalties will no longer be exempted.
In case of any empty return, handling fee, detention and all operational/port costs are under the shipper’s responsibility. 

For import shipments:
COD free of charge is no longer available.
