At the celebration event, the Managing Director of Greater China, Caroline Wu, had the pleasure of welcoming our special guests, thanking them for their support and for joining us at the inaugural airlift in Hangzhou. In her opening speech, Caroline extended her sincerest appreciation for unwavering support to Maersk from Zhejiang Provincial Government, Hangzhou Municipal Government, Zhejiang airport group, and the other departments.

As the milestone of Maersk Air Freight, the new services provide the highest level of reliability whilst operating at airports which provides ease and reliability. This enables our own-controlled network to bring a new level of efficiency to integrated logistics. Kudos to the team for making such a big milestone! It is a significant step on our integrator journey.”
Taking another leap with our customers in providing truly integrated logistics
Air freight is a transport mode, which provides reliable and consistent service across the globe and many industries have air freight as a fundamental component of their supply chain. The launch of the corridor from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is expected to significantly increase access for high-value and time-sensitive cargo between the Asia Pacific and Europe and the US.
Furthermore, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is located around 190km from Shanghai city covering Hangzhou in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone. It is believed that Maersk Air Cargo will power customers’ supply chains to new heights through the partnership with this strategic hub.
