KiwiRail Block of Line services between the Port of Tauranga and Auckland Metroport

Due to a KiwiRail Block of Line there will be no rail services between the Port of Tauranga and Auckland Metroport from 0001 Thursday 20 Oct to 0001 Tuesday 25 October. Auckland Metroport remains open for R&D.

This is phase 2 of the maintenance/upgrade that took place earlier this year.

  • Both mains impassable
  • Wheels free
    • Thursday - All Services cancelled
    • Friday - All Services cancelled
    • Saturday - All Services cancelled
    • Sunday - All Services cancelled
    • Monday - All Services cancelled

There will be an additional 3 trains per week after the block to alleviate the backlog as soon as possible, additionally cargo can be arranged to collect from Tauranga port.
