TP9 Export cargo via Vancouver to be subject to US advance manifest requirement
Our TP9 Service will be adding Seattle, Washington, USA (Seattle T-18) to the North America rotation starting with the Maersk Seville/Voyage 220S, currently scheduled to depart Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (Vancouver Centerm) on July 8th. As a result, all cargo loading from Vancouver will be subject to the US Code of Federal Regulations pertaining to the inward manifest cargo declaration requirements, as outlined in 19 C.F.R., Chapter 1, §4.7a (c) (1).
This means we must receive complete Shipping Instructions in accordance with the Shipping Instruction Deadline for Advance Manifest Cargo to enable transmission to US Customs within the required timeframe.
The Shipping Instruction deadline can be found on our website under schedules and in the shipment binder. We encourage submission of Shipping Instructions via Maersk website for expedited processing.
Please adjust your planning to meet this requirement for bookings scheduled to load from Vancouver on any TP9 vessel from the Maersk Seville forward.
Cargo in our possession that is not compliant with this regulation at the time of load list creation will be rolled to the next available vessel and will be subject to Container Shifting Fees, and possibly SPOT penalty fees and repricing.
