Please note that due to ongoing congestion challenges in the Los Angeles/Long Beach terminal complex we have stopped accepting import bookings routed for Houston ocean terminal discharge moving via rail into the Pacific Southwest market. Congestions levels continue to hamper terminal fluidity and the additional complexity of receiving imports via rail from Houston impedes recovery efforts at the ocean terminals.
The system wide congestion in Los Angeles/Long Beach requires that we stop moving import shipments via Houston into this market until a future date when terminal fluidity has been restored.
Bookings already on-file might experience delayed transit times as we work through the backlog of shipments that need to reach Los Angeles/Long Beach.
Export shipments originating in Houston moving by rail to Los Angeles/Long Beach for vessel departure are not impacted by this routing update.
Import shipments discharging in Los Angeles/Long Beach for rail to the Houston market are not impacted by this routing update.
We will continue to work closely with our vendors and look forward to restoring this import service lane at a future date.
