Please make note of upcoming routing changes for import traffic moving via Long Beach Total Terminals into the Memphis market. In efforts to alleviate congestion at their Memphis intermodal ramp, BNSF Railroad is re-opening an intermodal facility in Harvard, AR to support the increased level of import volume moving into the area.
Effective August 12, 2021 all import trains departing Long Beach Total Terminals for the destination of Memphis will be directed toward the Harvard, AR facility. Import containers must be picked up from the Harvard ramp (facility details listed below).
At the time of this advisory, routing changes only apply for Long Beach Total Terminals imports but that is subject to change. We will work closely with BNSF and send further advisories in the event there are further changes to the network.
Please note that all export traffic will continue to in-gate at the BNSF Memphis intermodal facility. Currently, there is no change for export containers or empty returns.
We are currently in the process of updating systems & routing information to support dispatching and customer pick-up from this location.
