The customer

Masidef – a member of the Würth Group – is an Italian retail company specialising in the commercialisation of hardware, tools, home and plumbing products for large-scale distribution and DIY stores. They wanted a partner to simplify and optimise their challenging supply chain process.

On paper, sustained growth is always good news for a business, but double-digit growth – year on year – also comes with a set of challenges that can put existing systems and processes under mounting pressure. Importing from Shanghai and Ningbo in China to Genoa in Italy, Masidef’s ongoing growth journey drove complexity into their supply chain processes and uncovered various challenges:

A comprehensive list of milestones provides us with a high level of visibility, while alerts and validations help us stay on top of events and exceptions. We are now able to directly manage orders, bookings, shippers and shipments on a single platform.
