A.P.Moller-Maersk has been present in Myanmar since international sanction were lifted in 2013. Since 2014, Maersk Myanmar had been running an office and a warehouse in Yangon, as well as three small execution offices in two container terminals (MIP in Yangon and MITT in Thilawa). We consolidated all our Myanmar bound port calls at MIP and MITT last year. We acknowledge that these decisions will have an impact, but the ongoing unrest in Myanmar is becoming an unfortunate situation. Therefore, we need to take actions accordingly, to ensure the physical safety and mental health of people.
