Asia-Europe Services - Schedule reliability improvement measures

In light of the ongoing schedule reliability considerations, Maersk is implementing measures to improve schedule reliability in its Asia-Europe network. This is being implemented to respond to the recent unprecedented market situation with severe port congestion and equipment limitations across global supply chains. This situation has been driven by a combination of rapidly increased demand and measures to fight the pandemic that led to slower supply chain operations across ports, inland depots, warehouses and inland transport modes.

As a consequence, Maersk has decided to change rotations on its 2 pendulum services, namely the AE6 and AE1. The changes involve disentangling the pendulums from the Transpacific Network, enabling leaner rotations and reduced exposure to port delays. Maersk considers these changes critical to deliver an improved Schedule Reliability, while limiting the impact to our customers.

AE1 Current: Yokohama – Shanghai – Xiamen – Tanjung Pelepas – Colombo – Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Port Tangiers - Salalah – Vung Tau - Hong Kong – Yantian – Xiamen – Los Angeles - Yokohama
AE1 New: Shanghai – Xiamen – Tanjung Pelepas – Colombo – Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Port Tangiers - Salalah - Hong Kong – Shanghai

AE6 Current: Busan – Ningbo – Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Sines – Antwerp – Le Havre - Felixstowe – Algeciras - Singapore – Laem Chabang - Nansha – Yantian – Long Beach – Oakland - Busan
AE6 New: Ningbo – Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Sines – Antwerp – Le Havre - Felixstowe – Algeciras - Singapore – Laem Chabang - Yantian – Ningbo
