We are pleased to inform you of some changes within our Canadian intermodal network. With higher volumes continuing to move throughout the network, we will be diversifying rail service providers to and from our Montreal ports. Effective March 1, 2021, all Dry rail cargo moving to or from Montreal Racine Terminal will begin moving via Canadian Pacific Railway. The first targeted vessel for this shift on both import and export will be the Liverpool Express. Refrigerated cargo to or from Montreal Racine Terminal will continue to move via Canadian National Railway. All cargo moving to or from Montreal Cast Terminal will continue to move via Canadian National Railway.
This will help to expand coverage through the Montreal gateway, aiding in fluidity within the network. This shift will apply to both imports and exports.
Some key information is listed below for your reference.

For Dry cargo moving to Montreal Racine Terminal, please note that Canadian Pacific Railway does not require reservations. However, rail billing does need to be in place prior to containers being allowed to gate into these ramps. Please submit rail billing to NAMRAILBIL@maersk.com. The estimated turn time for rail billing to be completed is up to two hours, so please ensure this is done prior to arrival at the terminals.
