We at Maersk constantly strive to provide reliable and innovative products to our customers. In order to continue offering our high quality and unmatched reliability, we would like to alert you to changes in Quebec Weight Levels for 2020 based on the Spring Thaw Period.
The Quebec Ministry of Transport has issued revised regulation on the annual spring thaw period for vehicles or combinations of vehicles carrying only food products, sanitary and medical supplies, pharmaceutical product and goods necessary to produce food products. These vehicles or combinations of vehicles may instead comply with the load limits normally applicable outside thaw periods. A vehicle or combination of vehicle must comply with the two following conditions to be exempted from the reduced load limits
- Carry only food products, sanitary and medical supplies, pharmaceutical product and goods necessary to produce food products.
- Comply with the load limits normally applicable outside thaw periods.
Any other vehicle or combination of vehicle must comply with the reduced load limits during the thaw period. For cargo not listed as exempt from the revised regulations, the following maximum acceptable cargo weight restrictions will prevail
