As a precaution, the Kenyan government has with immediate effect banned the importation of Used Clothes and Shoes. Please see the notice below.
Only cargo allowed for clearance is that having a shipped date of 12th March 2020. Anything shipped after that will be seized and probably destroyed.
We ask that you consider below options for now
- Have the cargo retained on board and returned to origin
- Sell the cargo to another consignee and request a COD (this ban is only for Kenya and other hinterland countries like Uganda have not banned the cargo yet)
