Korea Reefer Import haulage mandating as Carrier haulage
Thank you for using Maersk Ocean and Logistics service.
Maersk Korea has been striving the effort to make more flexibility in live reefer transportation through allowing merchant haulage from the previous exceptionless Carrier Haulage since 2012.
This has been pushing us to put extra effort and cost by exposing our asset to possible damage and more importantly in empty return management.
With this regard, Maersk Korea will mandate Korea Reefer Import’s land-side transportation as Maersk Haulage only effective from April-1st, 2020. Merchant Haulage will be selectively allowed for the given commodities.
For Import Reefer containers moving under Maersk Haulage will not have charged PTI (Pre Trip Inspection).
If further questions you have, please feel free to contact close Maersk Sales office.
- Effective date : April-1st, 2020 (based on discharge date to Korean ports)
- Exception : Reefer DG
