Hamburg Eurogate terminal – Congestion, go slow actions and protests
The Hamburg Eurogate Port operations have been heavily impacted by congestion, go slow actions and protests that are still ongoing and beyond our control. We regret to inform you that we were not able to discharge a high amount of your import cargo in Hamburg and had to divert the MSC Leanne voyage 119E and MSC Kalina voyage 118E to discharge in Wilhelmshaven.
In the past days, as the situation in the Hamburg Port is not improving and there is a severe capacity shortage on relevant inland networks, we have to conclude that there are no feasible options of bringing your cargo back to Hamburg and we therefore terminate the voyage of these boxes in Wilhelmshaven.
Based on the above situation, we will not charge any demurrage to you for the time from discharge until today (May 28th 2021) and your standard Hamburg freetime calculation will start as of tomorrow only.
We are continuously monitoring the Hamburg Port situation and will communicate to you accordingly for future vessels due to arrive in Hamburg.
We highly appreciate your understanding and support to overcome this extraordinary situation together.
