Scheduled System Downtime for TANCIS Upgrade

The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has announced that the current Tanzania Customs Integrated System (TANCIS) will be replaced with a new and enhanced version. This upgrade will improve existing modules, introduce new ones, and integrate advanced technology to enhance the system's functionality and efficiency.

Downtime Details:

  • Start Date and Time: Friday, 17th January 2025, 22:00 hrs
  • End Date and Time: Monday, 20th January 2025, 04:00 hrs

Impact on Services:

During the upgrade period, the following systems and services will be temporarily unavailable:

  • Tanzania Customs Integrated System (TANCIS)
  • Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS)
  • Tanzania Electronic Single Window System (TeSWS)

As a result, Maersk will be unable to process manifests, export load lists, or amendments for both export and import shipments during the mentioned timelines.
