Vancouver to Montreal and Toronto Rail Network Update

We are pleased to inform you of a change within our Canadian intermodal network. With higher volumes continuing to move into western gateways and winter months approaching, we will be shifting service between Vancouver ports and the inland points of Montreal and Toronto to rail via the Canadian Pacific Railway. This will help to expand coverage through the Vancouver gateway, aiding in railcar supply and fluidity within the network. This shift, applicable to Dry cargo only, will take place in December for both imports and exports.
Some key information is listed below for your reference.

Import Effective Date

Beginning with the Northern Jamboree, vessel estimated arrival date of December 5, 2020, imports discharging Vancouver Centerm will rail to Montreal Lachine and Toronto Vaughan Canadian Pacific intermodal terminals.

Export Effective Date

Beginning with the Santa Ines, vessel estimated departure date of December 14, 2020, exports will rail from Montreal Lachine and Toronto Vaughan Canadian Pacific intermodal terminals to Vancouver Centerm.
Any bookings already created will be updated accordingly and revised booking confirmations will be shared.

Empty Annex Auto Gates / Problem Area Hours: Monday to Friday 06:00 – 21:00

Please note that Canadian Pacific Railway does not require reservations. However, rail billing does need to be in place prior to containers being allowed to gate into these ramps. Please submit rail billing to NAMRAILBIL@maersk.com. The estimated turn time for rail billing to be completed is up to two hours, so please ensure this is done prior to arrival at the terminals.
