Update on Sea Cargo Manifest & Transhipment Regulation

Summary: The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has made some changes in the regulation for filing Sea Cargo Manifest for all cargo arriving on the vessel calling India and departing on a vessel from India.

As a step forward towards increasing ease of business, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has made some changes in the regulation for filing Sea Cargo Manifest for all cargo arriving on the vessel calling India and departing on a vessel from India.

The go-live date for this implementation was 30th September 2020; however as per the recent Customs Notification No.94/2020 it shall come into force with effect from 1st November 2020.

Kindly refer the below circular received from customs communicating the change in implementation date.
