The new Tariff Charges are effective 1st April 2021 and will be applicable for all units discharging post midnight 31st March 2021. We wish to remind you of the advisory issued relating to the OHC_DHC charges applicable to/from South Africa on the 1st March 2021.
For imports, our pricing is determined at the time of the export activity gate in at origin and thus priced against the DHC at that time. For any container discharged on or post 1st April we have to recover the increase in DHC each year. For exports we are able to effectively price the OHC that is applicable effective 1st April.
This interim additional charge is raised on the invoice and needs to be recovered as we will be billed by the Port.
Our usual invoices reflect
Terminal Handling Service – Destination: with the container quantity and the rate.
For an interim period, invoices will have an additional line item reflecting as Additional Import Service Fee with the difference updated.
