Inland Tariff Adjustment for Leixões Southern Hinterland

We would like to inform you that, effective 21/09/2026 , an inland tariff adjustment will be implemented for specific transport movements associated with the Port of Leixões (PTLEX).

This adjustment is a consequence of the permanent traffic restrictions introduced on the VCI (Via de Cintura Interna) in Porto, which require heavy goods vehicles to use alternative routes, resulting in increased mileage, transit times and operational costs.

Scope

The adjustment will apply to:

• Export shipments with Port of Loading (POL): Leixões (PTLEX) and cargo originating from locations located south of Leixões.
• Import shipments with Port of Discharge (POD): Leixões (PTLEX) and final delivery locations situated south of Leixões.

Adjustment

A base rate increase of 75 EUR will be applied to the affected inland locations. Please note that the Fuel Surcharge will be calculated on the updated inland base rate.

This revision is intended to offset the additional transportation costs generated by the mandatory route deviations and operational constraints impacting the Leixões area.
