Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for the Scope: East Mediterranean to United States and Canada

In order to keep providing you with our global services, Maersk is introducing the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all dry container types for the scope East Mediterranean to United States and Canada with effective from 5-October-2026 until further notice.

The tariff amount is detailed as follow:

Origin Destination Container Basis Currency ALL 20 ALL 40 / 45 HDRY 40HREF
East Mediterranean United States & Canada Per container USD 250 250 250

For your reference, you can always view the latest levels and rate structures directly on our Tariff Lookup page: https://www.maersk.com/tariff-lookup/ (Current coverage: FMC – Federal Maritime Commission and EEA – European Economic Area regulated countries)

  • Origin scope is all ports in East Mediterranean area including Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Lebanon, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
  • Non-SPOT booking – The above rate is retrieved based on PCD. PCD = Price Calculation Date. For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation for non-spot bookings. For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.
  • SPOT booking – The rate is retrieved based on 1st vessel ETD at booking confirmation for Spot bookings.
