As part of our ongoing commitment to provide reliable and safe inland transportation for temperature controlled cargo, we would like to inform you about an important operational adjustment affecting reefer containers moving to and from the Czech Republic.

As of 24th March 2026, our Rail Combined product (RCO) for active reefers, that is reefer containers requiring constant power supply and active cooling during inland transport, will be closed. This measure is necessary due to:
  • Operational constraints at ports, specifically the inability to dismantle gensets from arriving units, and
  • A critical shortage of gensets required to support rail operations for powered reefer equipment.
What does this mean for your cargo:
  • Direct trucking will remain the only available inland transportation mode for active reefers from/to the Czech Republic.
  • The Rail Combined product for NOR (non operating reefers) continues without any change and remains fully available.

Our teams remain ready to support you in arranging alternative solutions and minimizing the impact on your supply chain. If you have any questions or require assistance with upcoming shipments, please contact your local Maersk representative.

We thank you for your understanding and continued trust.
