Highlights from the Annual General Meeting 2025

On 18th March, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S took place virtually.

Robert Maersk Uggla, Chair of the Board of Directors, opened by taking the shareholders through the 2024 financial review and perspectives on the company’s strategic progress. Watch the speech for full details:

Board election

Marc Engel, Kasper Rørsted, Bernard L. Bot and Amparo Moraleda were re-elected to the board for another two-year term. The board also proposed to elect Xavier Urbain as a new board member, which was approved by shareholders.

Other formal agenda items

The AGM agenda included a number of other items for decision:

• The audited Annual Report for 2024 was adopted by the AGM
• Discharge to the board of directors and the executive management was given
• The AGM confirmed a dividend payout to the company’s shareholders of DKK 1,120 per share of DKK 1,000
• The Renumeration Report was approved
• The AGM authorised the Board to allow the Company to acquire own shares
• Pursuant to the Audit Committee’s recommendation PricewaterhouseCoopers Statsautoriseret Revisionspartnerselskab was re-elected as auditors.

Shareholder comments, proposals and questions

During the AGM, a number of shareholders took advantage of the opportunity to ask questions and share comments and proposals with the board. Amongst other matters, this year the topic of the company’s transportation of cargo to Israel was raised by shareholders and addressed by CEO Vincent Clerc.
