With effect 15th September 2023 the text included alongside Shipper and Consignee header on bill of lading has a small change introduced.

This will remove dependency to include word ‘Shipper’ or ‘Principal’ during shipping instruction submission while requesting parties with conjunction ‘Care of’.

At the same time, the “principal” & agent roles involved in the parties are clearly defined which will further eliminate the risk of uncertainty arising due to vagueness of who the principal party is.

We thank you for your support. Should you have any questions or require any assistance regarding the change, please do not hesitate to contact your local customer service representative or reach out to us via Maersk.com.
