It is the Maersk Cargo Policy not to carry any products of Shark or Whale origin.

At Maersk we have a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal wildlife trade. Maersk will not knowingly facilitate or tolerate the carriage of illegal wildlife or illegal wildlife products.

Sharks and whales are important marine species that play a vital role in maintaining healthy ocean ecosystems. The decline of shark and whale populations has cascading effects throughout the food chain, leading to imbalances in marine ecosystems.

Maersk wishes to support the preservation of endangered and vulnerable species and protect the worlds natural environment.
