At Maersk, we are constantly looking for ways to bring ease, agility, and resilience to your supply chain by streamlining our processes to better suit you.

With this in mind, we wish to inform you that we are changing how truck detention billing has been handled in the past. Previously, you would have received two separate invoices for export charges and truck detention from Maersk and Maersk Logistics and Services (previously Damco).

Moving forward, you should expect to receive one export invoice that will be inclusive of both export charges and truck detention in cases where same is applicable. Please be advised the Truck Detention charges will be prepaid under the account of the shipper.

This change will be effective from 16th of March 2023.

Should you have any other questions, please reach out to your respective customer service agent.
