In the light of the development of water levels on Manaus River verified by the Brazilian National Agency of Waters (ANA), Maersk will withdraw the application of 2022 Low Water Surcharge (LWC) at Port Manaus, Brazil, effective on exports from Manaus as from 12th December, 2022 and for imports to Manaus as from December 3rd, 2022 base on price calculation date.
We are monitoring the situation and depending on the development, further measures might need to be taken. However, as of now, the surcharge connected to this incident will be cancelled in its entirely.
