Bank holiday update in the United Kingdom

Following the passing of Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, last week, a national Bank Holiday will be observed across the region to mark her funeral on Monday 19th September 2022.

As such, Maersk UK will be operating with limited staff numbers and phones will only be active from 8am to 1pm on the day.

Meanwhile, the current port operating information we have at present as follows:
Port of Felixstowe will be closed from 7am to 7pm Monday 19th September.
London Gateway will remain in full operation, except between the hours of 10am and 1pm when operations will be paused.

With limited staff and port closures across the UK, Maersk is currently not accepting any further haulage book-ings on Monday 19th or Tuesday 20th September. To find out the next available date for new bookings, please check here.

If you already have a haulage booking with us, your local Customer Experience representative will be in touch with you as soon as possible to confirm delivery or collection plans for your cargo. Bank Holiday sur-charges will be applicable to all cargo in transit for deliveries and collections that we are able to fulfil on Monday 19th September. Dates for bookings can be amended with your local Customer Experience repre-sentative and will be accommodated whenever possible, although no additional free time will be granted.
