For the past couple of months, we have experienced increased delays at the port of Nacala due to terminal upgrades, with waiting times ranging up to 20 days. Due to these unforeseen delays, it became increasingly difficult to maintain our service schedules and deliver on our customer promise. In order to restore service reliability, the unfortunate decision had to be made to suspend calling Nacala on M-Express 164.
The last voyage to call Nacala is CMA CGM Africa Three - 149W that departed Tanjung Pelepas on December 3, 2021. For all remaining cargo standing in terminals, in transit, or still to be loaded will be re-routed via Jebel Ali / Colombo to final destination Nacala via a feeder service.
We are continuously working on alternative solutions to service the Nacala market in the future.
More information will follow shortly.
