Environmental Fuel Fee (EFF)

Maersk will update the tariff for Environmental Fuel Fee (EFF) effective 1 DECEMBER 2021.
This would be applicable to:

  • Maersk Spot and all contracts with validity up to 92 days
  • All bookings (including Maersk Spot) with ETD effective DECEMBER 1, 2021 onwards until further notice

Our Environmental Fuel Fee (EFF) is subject to a monthly review if the price of compliant fuel (VLSFO – 0.5% sulphur fuel oil) moves up or down significantly during the month.

The average increase for December review period has exceeded the trigger of 50 USD/TON compared to the average fuel price during September review. The price difference between the two periods is 57,07 USD/TON
