Train situation from-to Budapest - all corridor

Koper

In regards to previous Maersk Hungary Customer Advisories we would like to inform you at least 24 hours train delay can be expected in both import and export directions from/to Koper due to many reasons. Please note that there is no exact cause that we can highlight for the delays as this situation is impacted by a set variable factors - for example delays of vessels, which cause constant congestion at the port, or the staff capacity issues which Slovenian railways is experiencing, alongside the ongoing infrastructural renovation on numerous lines which impact the speed by which generaly trains can advance through Slovenia.

Rijeka

We would like to inform you there is 24-36 hours delay can be expected in the published schedule on our Rijeka-Budapet-Rijeka rail corridor in both import and export direction as well. Like on the other rail corridor (Koper-Budapest-Koper) there is not any exact reason for delay as it is caused by many reason. Rijeka seaport also impacted by vessels delay, and there are some planned maintenance work on the Croatian railway network. In some cases the delay caused by technical reasons and congestion during the border crossing at Gyékényes.

Bremerhaven

There are reconstruction works in progress near Decin, CZ from 1st November to 22nd November with a total track closure 10th November – 15th November. Freight traffic is allowed when it is possible during the reconstruction, but you can expect delays on both export and import directions. During the period of total closure (10/11-15/10) our trains will be rerouted via Cheb, CZ therefore you can expect longer transit time.

Export

BUDBRV211103 – in few hours delay due to limited capacity on Czech/German rail network due to reconstructions
BUDBRV211110 – run via Cheb, you can expect 1-2 day delay to Bremerhaven
BUDBRV211113 – will be cancelled

Import

BRVBUD211115 – chance of slightly delay due to delay of inbound wagonset.
