Transatlantic Network - Winter Plan

The increasing severity of the winter weather across the north Atlantic is once again approaching at a rapid pace. Over the recent years, this has led to the deterioration in reliability on the trades which Maersk plans to operate through a planned winter schedule. The schedule will cover all our current three North Europe to US services: TA1, TA2 and TA3.

Most carriers are facing difficulties with ad hoc omissions to restore vessel schedules which can also lead to subsequent short shipments and delays. These omissions inevitably create immediate disruptions but serve the greater goal of ensuring reliability to your supply chains. To counter this, we have put measures in place, which also include rotation omissions that will help us to keep the ships on schedule.

The schedules will be updated in our booking system and, for those ports that are impacted and where we have the ability to offer an alternative sailing or routing the same week, these options will be available to you.

For now, the Winterplan will cover the period starting from November until end of December.
