Over the past few weeks, the unprecedented events of the Civil unrest and IT disruptions in the Terminals, has resulted in severe delays experienced by our SAFARI service in Durban and impacted our ability to serve you. Our teams continue to work tirelessly to limit the impact on your supply chains whilst partnering with Transnet to recover the schedule fully to avoid any ongoing impact to customers’ supply chains.

As the timeline for full recovery of the Safari service remains uncertain, our immediate focus will be to clear the current backlog of exports and then begin to gradually ramp up exports in future weeks. In light of this we may need to cancel some bookings as we are unable to provide a timeline of when these would be able to be loaded.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and do all that we can to clear the backlog as quickly as possible so as to begin increasing exports in the future. We will provide updates as these become available.
